It’s our NEXT LOGICAL STEP – FINANCIAL PRESSURES!
We’ve followed the Democratic process, signed the petitions, written the letters and some of us even called them by phone. At SOS Nature Protection we believe that businesses who encourage and partake in the Trophy Hunting Industry don’t deserve our business.
Even Jane Goodall got involved and wrote to UPS : Jane Calls for a Ban on Shipments of Animal Trophies
“As we continue to mourn the loss of Cecil, the lion who was killed in Zimbabwe as a result of trophy hunting and has become a poster child for campaigns on cruel treatment of wildlife, Dr. Goodall continues to draw attention to the whole issue of trophy hunting and wildlife trafficking by influencing people and companies who can do their part in ending this cruel sport and trade. In the letter below, Dr. Goodall calls on United Parcel Service (UPS) to end the transport of animal parts as a part of this trophy hunting and also the illegal commercial bushmeat trade.”
The airline ban is working and the charlatans at SCI claiming to be Hunters and Conservationists are working hard to Lobby Airlines and Government Officials. In one article they ridicule petitions and just stop short of insinuating Airline officials are just too ignorant to realize it.
You need to read their article to see how desperate people who kill for fun react when they fear the withdrawal symptoms of an end to their killing spree – WASHINGTON REPORT – FIGHTING THE AIRLINE BANS (Remember their’s a big difference between a true Hunter and a cowardly Big Game Trophy Hunter claiming to be a conservationist, even though SCI shamelessly interchanges the terms)
The only way to be heard by those who choose the mighty $$$ over morals and ethics is to make sure they don’t get their hands on our hard earned cash. We at SOS Nature Protection and our associated partners have ceased all business with UPS, FEDEX and any other business that lacks moral and ethics sense in their quest for profit.
As far as UPS and FEDEX goes, it’s only around $1500 USD per month. It’s insignificant on its own, but if others share our quest for the common good of wildlife, then it will make a difference.
In fact we’ve been saving money by using USPS Media Mail for many of our media shipments. All in all in the U.S. we use http//:www.USPS.com and in Switzerland http://www.poste.ch. In the first month we’re saving 32% over UPS and FEDEX combined.
Please join us. Sign the petitions if you haven’t already done so.
- UPS – Please stop transporting slaughtered wildlife. Commit to end trophy hunting transport as many other airlines have already done.
- David P. Abney :Chief Ex Officer of UPS.: UPS STOP Transporting African TROPHIES , ANIMALS are going EXTINCT
- UPS – Ban the Shipment of Hunting Trophies
- Petition Fedex CEO, Frederick W Smith and ask him to stop transporting animals killed by trophy hunters
In addition many airlines still need to join the ban including South African Airways who reversed their ban – Cease the transport of all hunting trophies per previous embargo as lifted on 20 July 2015
